Recording High School Level Classes Taken Before 9th Grade

Last updated: May 5, 2024

Sometimes, students take high school-level classes in middle school, like Algebra I. These can be important for your high school records. Here are 3 simple steps to do it

Step 1:  Enter the Class Name

Enter Class Name

When you're entering your classes in the 9th grade section of our app, go ahead and type in the class you took in 8th grade. Right next to the class name, put a star (*). For example, if you took Algebra I, you would write: Algebra I*

Step 2:  Note the Grade Level

Note the grade level

In the 'Notes' section of the academic record screen, write a reminder that classes with a * were taken in 8th grade.

Step 3:  Choose Credit or No Credit

Now, you need to decide if you want this class to count as part of your high school credits and GPA:
